Unfortunately, it still happens far too often today. Animals are taken in by people who can’t or don’t want to look after them.
The supposed owners just don’t realize this and keep taking in new animals.
This is exactly what happened in this story. A husky puppy is one of countless other dogs living a sad existence on a property.
Alone in Harbin
She lives on a property in Harbin (China) with another 2,000 animals: A young husky girl who hopes for better every day.
She sits completely alone in a corner while her fellow dogs at least play in the meadow and try to make the best of the moment.
One day, however, everything changes: rescuers from Harbin SHS take notice and rescue the dogs from a home that never was.
Safety at last
The helpers immediately take care of the sad dog. As soon as she has taken her place in the car, she cuddles up on a helper’s lap. She is safe at last.
When she arrives at the vet, he can see that she is doing well under the circumstances. However, her dirty and matted coat is shaved off.
The young dog is also given a name. The helpers call her Harriet and hope to find her a new and beautiful home.
New life and a new name
Wishes are meant to be fulfilled at some point. Only a short time later, Canadian Rosee Vallee notices the young husky and immediately falls in love.
A helper brings the dog to San Francisco, where Rosee and Harriet meet for the first time.
It is a bond for life. Rosee loves the sweet dog, calls her Bailey from then on and never gives her up again.
From that day on, they experience many adventures together and enjoy every moment. Bailey now knows that miracles really do exist in this world, even for her!
