Dogs are very sensitive animals. We cannot emphasize this often enough.
We appreciate our dogs fortheir care towards us. They cheer us up when we’re sad and snuggle up to us when we’re not feeling well.
They can lower our stress levels with their presence and keep us fit. We often thank them for this with thoughtless gestures or actions that can deeply hurt our sensitive, furry friends!
Here we tell you what you should pay more attention to in future:
1. You’re not taking his fears seriously enough!

Our dogs with their fine hearing can be frightened by unusual noises, as we have already written about in a separate article. In addition to thunder or New Year’s Eve bangs, a situation can also contribute to discomfort.
If you encounter an aggressive dog or person and you notice that your pet raises its hackles, tucks its tail or even starts to growl, it will be frightened .
Laughing now because the situation doesn’t seem dangerous to you or because you have turned on the loud music especially for yourself will upset your pet.
Reacting by scolding or ignoring him will also hurt his feelings and make him feel less secure.
Solution: Talk to him at eye level and reassure him so that he knows that nothing will happen!
2. Mishaps can always happen!

A mishap can happen with his business due to illness, a change of food or stress.
Joyful tail waggers always endanger valuable porcelain or glass vases, pots and cups. Nibbles on the sofa table invite tasting and crumbs are strategically scattered around the home.
There are countless mishaps that can happen to your furry friend over the years! Unintentionally, of course.
Most of the time, our dogs know that this was really unfortunate and then retreat contritely into a corner. Scolding or punishing is not appropriate here.
Solution: Put valuable vases on the top shelf and keep a close eye on what caused the mishap!
3. You have overridden your own rules!

Consistency in raising your pet doesn’t just mean that you encourage him to behave according to your wishes.
It means much more that the rules you set are not only adhered to by him, but also by you!
He’s not actually allowed on the sofa. Today you are sad and he should come and cuddle up to you on the sofa. Tomorrow he’ll be scolded for lying on the sofa! This is just one of the classic examples.
Solution: Think very carefully about what you want to allow your puppy and later, over many years, your adult dog to do and what is and remains forbidden!
