Our tale begins in sunny Saltillo, Mexico, where a delightful puppy named Scooby embarks on an uncertain journey to find his forever home. Currently fostered on foreign soils, this 6-month-old little warrior, a lively mix of Carolina Dog and Lab, weighs about 15 lbs but is likely to reach around 45 lbs when fully grown.
Scooby’s triumph over adversity gives his tale a bittersweet twist. One day, a helpless dog was spotted, abandoned near our land. Closer investigation revealed she had recently birthed puppies, of which Scooby was one. These vulnerable young lives were all vaccinated, fed, and introduced to the world of adoption, and so our courageous little Scooby began his journey towards a better life.
Scooby’s Second Chance at Life
Despite finding an adoptive home early on, Scooby’s journey was far from over. Due to negligent care, he returned to his foster caregivers emaciated and ill. But this ordeal only strengthened our brave Scooby’s resolve. Now fully recovered, healthy, and developing well, Scooby’s life is filled with joyful walks and playful hi-jinks that he thoroughly enjoys.
A delightful bundle of coexisting traits. Scooby is gentle yet brave, quiet yet full of playful spirit, dignified yet funny, and independent yet incredibly affectionate. He cherishes his freedom, loves to run and play, and adores being around both dogs and humans.
Healthwise, Scooby comes fully equipped with a Spay/Neuter certificate, Rabies and Bordetella vaccines, as well as DHPPI shots, a negative Heartworm test, and preventive flea and tick protection.
Could You Be Scooby’s New Family?
While Scooby is indeed a joy, it’s important to understand that he is not perfect. Scooby, like any other rescued dog, is on a learning curve. He is still house training and requires patient caregivers who have experience with the breed and dog behaviour.
Potential adopters should preferably own a house with a fenced backyard and enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle. Experience in managing rescued animals and a broad understanding of their behavioural needs would be advantageous.
