Instead, he gets back up and continues with his adventure. His delight in the simple things, like the sound of plane engines slicing through the skies, the rustle of the wind blowing through the leaves, or the warmth of the sun on his face, is infectious. He has learned to rely on his other senses, and might even be able to detect light and movement of shapes.
Artie has found solace in the company of his two Aussie friends. He is always ready for a good run outside with them. But he is equally happy playing with his favourite toys inside, emptying his big basket full of fun. He is smart and quickly picks up commands, especially if there’s a promise of a treat.
A Loving Companion
Artie is the epitome of a good boy: he’s house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and is even on heartworm prevention. He is not aggressive or reactive at all, but utterly playful and affectionate. Whether he is getting a good pet and scratch or softly playing with his toys, Artie’s gentle nature shines through. He also lives well with other dogs, preferably his size or larger, although he can entertain himself just fine.
Artie would indeed be a lovely addition to a household as an only pet-child, as he is simply overjoyed in the presence of his humans. A fenced yard is required to grant him the freedom to run and play without straying. Continual leash training would be essential to his development.
