What was done to little Paddy is really not for the faint-hearted and brings tears of rage to the eyes of every animal lover.
Someone, possibly his former owner, tied a barbed wire tightly around his neck and threw him onto the street in this state.
If the little fluffy had not been found by chance, he would certainly have succumbed to his serious injuries.
After extensive treatment, he is now fully recovered and hopes that he will find a family who will love him and never do him any harm.
This is Paddy
Paddy is a small, gentle puppy. He is only two years old, just 38 centimetres tall and weighs 13 kilograms. The little chap didn’t stand a chance against his tormentor.
Surprisingly, despite everything, this sweet little fluffy has unalloyed trust in people. He has a very gentle, loving, innocent soul.
He would certainly never have expected someone to do something so terrible to him, and he still seems to believe in the good in people.
Only his rescue was not easy, as he was understandably distraught from the pain and shock.
However, he has proved to be a remarkably patient and grateful patient who has bravely endured all the treatments at the clinic.
Once he was on the road to recovery, he showed all the helpers how much he loved them and how positive he still is.
Paddy is an absolute dream of a dog, he is always friendly, cuddly, alert, loyal and docile.
He loves to cuddle and play with balls.
This sweet little dog boy is also a very pleasant flatmate and companion. He is calm and even-tempered, sleeps through the night and is house-trained.
He has even mastered the ABC of dogs very well and is also exemplary on the lead.
This all-round good-natured little chap also gets on very well with other dogs and cats.
Paddy’s story
Paddy was found in the countryside in Romania, wandering around desperately with barbed wire around his neck and at the end of his tether.
The wire was so tight that it had dug deep into his flesh. Paddy was bleeding and in terrible pain.
At first he was so shocked that he ran away from the animal welfare officers. Fortunately, he was rescued anyway.
At the clinic, the wire was carefully removed, the wounds were disinfected, stitched and bandaged.
There were several appointments with the doctor, but Paddy went along with everything without protest. The injuries have now healed well.
A microchip was discovered during the examination, so Paddy had an owner. This explains why he is house-trained and knows the basics of dog behaviour.
However, the chip was not registered, so the owner could not be traced.
The animal welfare organisations suspect that Paddy’s former owner could be the one who inflicted the cruel torture on him.
But it could also be that Paddy ran away from home and met the monster on the way, or that he was stolen to be tortured.
Who committed the unforgivable act will probably always remain a mystery. But Paddy just wants to forget it all and start a nice new life.
The perfect home for Paddy
All Paddy really needs is love, closeness to his humans and balls to play with, then he’ll be happy.
Training is no longer necessary and he is otherwise completely uncomplicated.
This modest, kind-hearted darling just wants to have a really good time in his new home and enjoy a happy life together with his humans.
He definitely gives his family his whole big heart and hopes that his trust will not be abused this time.
He also hopes that he will find his new home very quickly, because otherwise he would have to move from his foster home to an overcrowded animal shelter at the end of April, where he would be deeply unhappy.
