Every dog owner knows that these wonderful animals have many ways of attracting attention.
One day, a group of construction workers in Poland heard an insistent barking. The barking didn’t stop and prompted the construction workers to investigate. Together they went to investigate the noise.
They discovered a small dog lying in a puddle of tar, unable to free itself from the sticky trap.
They immediately called the Niczje Animal Foundation. Joanna Godlewska was working there that day.
Quick help is on the way
Joanna arrived at the trapped dog. The sight immediately broke her heart and her eyes filled with tears.
The little dog was probably looking for warmth because of the freezing temperatures, and when he saw the puddle of tar, he found deceptive happiness.
At first he certainly enjoyed the warmth, but unnoticed the tar dried and bound the animal to itself.
The little dog would never have managed to free himself from this trap by his own efforts. We can only guess how long he was exposed to this unfortunate situation.
A happy ending
When the little dog was discovered so helpless and saw his helpers, he was overcome with exhaustion. After all, he had spent the whole time trying to free himself.
Now his strength was at an end.
Joanna Godlewska and the men from the fire brigade who had been called in freed the dog from the tar. The trapped animal was absolutely peaceful and, without growling, carefully allowed the fur that bound it to the tar to be cut off.
The men were very gentle.
After the rescue was successful, the little dog was taken to the veterinary clinic. After a thorough examination, no injuries were found. So he was finally thoroughly freed from the remaining tar.
The dirty little lucky dog was baptised Farcik. Of course, he still has some recovering to do, but he is on the right track.
Not only Joanna Godlewska is happy about this news, but all of Farcik’s rescuers are also overjoyed.
Everything is now being done to ensure that Farcik gets a loving home where he is absolutely safe from warm puddles.
All his rescuers deserve our heartfelt thanks!
