Even mums remain playmates if you give them the space to do so. Mummy cat Angel is living proof of this.
But as is often the case in life, she suffers a few setbacks along the way.
Fortunately, she finds a safe haven with her kitten.
A fluffy new home
It’s not easy being a mum. Especially not when you’re a new mum with kittens on the street and no help in sight.
So Angel and her litter end up at the animal rescue centre „IndyHumane“. Unfortunately, even there Angel is unable to look after her babies. Only one kitten survives.
Belinda, a volunteer at the centre, agrees to take in the little cat family.
Angel and Willow, as the kitten is christened, are given a comfortable playpen with plush blankets where they can really relax after all their hardships.
Here they are safe. Caring for her baby benefits from this new feeling, because Willow is also very comfortable.
Off to new adventures
But Angel still doesn’t seem completely satisfied. To find the perfect corner for her and Willow, she carries her baby around the flat.
„Whenever I put Willow back in the playpen, Angel would find a new corner within 24 hours.“
belinda describes Angel’s quest for the perfect place to sleep. Of course, the foster mum is always on hand to make the new place as comfortable as possible.
At around three weeks old, Willow’s thirst for adventure finally awakens. She fights with soft toys, chases after her mum’s face and explores the world outside her safe nest.
But Angel is also devoting herself to things other than caring for her favourite again. She finally has time to play and cuddle again!
„Angel is such a sweetheart. She rubs all over me and loves having her tummy rubbed. She fetches play mice and stuffed animals. She brings them to me every time I throw them for her.“
says Belinda.
Willow and her mum are thriving under Belinda’s care, love and attention. We wish them nothing but the best for the future!
