Mixu had everything a dog needs to be happy: a loving family with children, a nice home with a garden, good care and plenty to do.
However, he has now lost all of this after just one and a half years. There have been changes in his family that make it impossible for Mixu to stay.
After being adopted as a puppy from the Hungarian animal shelter, his good fortune has now been shattered and he urgently needs a new home where he can smile again.
This is Mixu
At two years old, Mixu is still a very young male dog. The beautiful shepherd mix measures an impressive 60 centimetres at the shoulder and weighs 35 kilograms.
He is a gentle giant who likes to snuggle up close with his whole size and enjoy the familiar closeness.
The sweet cuddly bear is absolutely loving and friendly.
He needs a little time at the beginning to gain trust, but then he loyally bonds with his family and takes everyone into his big heart.
In his current family there are three children aged ten and over, whom Mixu loves very much.
He enjoys cuddles and cosy get-togethers just as much as great games and walks.
Mixu loves nature and enjoys going for walks in the forest. At the same time, he pursues another passion: collecting sticks and carrying them around.
At home, he surprisingly prefers carrots to chewing bones and gnaws on the orange vegetables with relish.
The social, playful boy also gets on very well with other dogs.
The only thing he forgets is how good-natured he otherwise is when it comes to strange cats.
Mixu is intelligent, docile and obedient. He has already learnt a lot from the dog ABC, for example he is house-trained and listens to basic commands such as „sit“, „down“ and „stay“.
He can also be left alone for four to five hours without any problems.
The ideal home for Mixu
Mixu would love to belong to a family with children again and be loved by everyone equally.
He definitely wants to be a fully-fledged member of the family, to receive lots of loving attention and to stay faithfully by his humans‘ side forever.
Lots of cuddling must be part of his life every day, as well as great activities where he can be both physically and mentally active.
In addition to walks (with sticks), for example, search and intelligence games are perfect for Mixu.
The clever dog boy would also like to continue going to dog school.
He wants patience, understanding and empathy from his two-legged friends when it comes to training and familiarisation.
Of course, he also wants his beloved carrots.
