Being born without a home somewhere on a street corner or in the middle of nowhere is bad enough. But on a rubbish tip?

That’s what actually happened to little Louie and his five siblings. The tiny, innocent babies were born in the midst of rubbish and filth.

At least they were rescued soon after their birth. Only their mum couldn’t come with them as she was too shy to be caught.

Now the puppies are looking for loving forever families. Here little Louie introduces himself.

This is Louie

Louie is now five months old and has grown into a healthy puppy. His shoulder height is currently around 45 centimetres and he weighs eleven kilograms.

Of course he will get bigger. He will probably reach a final height of 55 to 60 centimetres.

With his beige-coloured coat, white blaze and small white markings on his legs, he is simply beautiful and his character is also fantastic.

Louie is very sweet and loves to be close to his humans. This sweet boy is happy when he can cuddle with his two-legged friends and gets attention.

He is a cheerful and bright little dog who loves to play, romp around and discover the world.

He is sometimes a little shy with new people, but always friendly, and when he realises that someone deserves his trust, he likes to get to know them better.

He has settled in very well at his foster home.

He is not shy around other dogs, he is very open-minded and likes to make new friends. He loves playing and romping around with his dog friends.

This little chap is also very docile and obedient. For example, he has already learnt to walk on a lead, knows a few basic commands and is also happy to take part in mating training.

The ideal home for Louie

This gentle boy is looking for very loving people who will take him in with a lot of empathy, understanding and patience.

He wants to arrive at his own pace and realise that he is in good hands for good. The behaviour of his family plays a decisive role in this.

With harmony, unobtrusive warmth, routine, good food, great activities and lots of time together, he will soon realise that he is loved and in good hands.

He should not be left alone at all, especially in the early days, and as little as possible in the first year of his life.

Once a trusting bond has been formed, he can be slowly and carefully accustomed to being left alone for short periods of time.

There are also many other things he still wants to learn, but the eager-to-learn dog will enjoy them much more. Of course, only positive reinforcement should ever be used in training.

Will you give Louie your heart?
