The parrot in this video is the proud owner of a beautiful birdhouse. He sits contentedly in the entrance hole and looks around the room.
He sees a visitor on the small suspension bridge in front of his little house.
That’s good, because the parrot loves visitors. There’s nothing nicer than having nice neighbours.
Stretched out cosily
The visitor is not a second parrot. It’s not a bird at all, but a white cat with a blue collar.
The velvet paw stretches out cosily on the suspension bridge. Then the parrot makes a few tentative movements.
The cat takes this as an invitation to come closer, which it does immediately.
Beak and hug
Now the parrot starts to peck at the cat’s nose with its beak. However, it does this very gently and does not appear aggressive, but simply playful and curious.
The cat reacts with hugs to his advances. Now you can get a bit scared, because the cat is much bigger and stronger than the parrot.
Stomping around and stealing the house
As they touch each other, the parrot gets further and further out of its house. Finally, the entrance hole is completely free.
Now the cheeky cat seizes the opportunity it has perhaps been waiting for all this time.
Without a second thought, it simply tramples over the parrot, slips into the birdhouse and looks out. The message is clear: this is now a cat house!
He’s lost his cool
And how does the parrot react to this rather rough treatment, not to mention the squatting?
Unbelievable, but true: he completely ignores the cheeky cat, crosses the suspension bridge and climbs a branch.
He sits there calmly and looks around the area as if that had been his intention all along. Respect: not everyone has that much composure.
