There is much more love in Eddy’s heart than his previous owners wanted, so they put him in a shelter where he gets even less love.
Admittedly, a dog that needs a lot of love and can’t be left alone is not easy to integrate into the everyday life of the average person.
But to give him away to an animal shelter because of this – even though he is already a senior citizen? It’s inconceivable, but his owners did it instead of looking for a better solution.
So there he is, sitting in his kennel, no longer understanding the world. He is desperate for a new home where he can spend a wonderful old age.
This is Eddy
Eddy is a Jack Russell Terrier and is almost 14 years old. He was born on 24 March 2010.
The little guy measures just 32 centimetres at the shoulder and weighs a slim 7.3 kilograms.
Despite his proud age, this cute doggy grandad still loves to go for walks, and of course on a lead. He has also known life in the house from an early age.
Eddy has an absolute favourite pastime, and that is cuddling. This good-natured little dog always wants to be very close to his humans and snuggle up in confidence.
He is only happy when he is with his carers, can spread his love and feels their love.
Whether at home or out and about, Eddy’s favourite place is right next to his humans. This also means that he can’t stand it when his two-legged friends aren’t around.
Staying alone is unimaginable torture for him. He was probably never taught this. But at his advanced age, he can no longer learn it.
However, his human-centred nature also means that he doesn’t need much to be happy.
Only the love and closeness of his humans and, of course, the fulfilment of his basic needs are necessary for him to feel happy.
The ideal home for Eddy
After being let down so badly, Eddy is now looking for a new home where he can spend the rest of his life happily.
He would like to live with one or two people who can promise him that he will always be by their side and will not have to be left alone.
This cuddly doggie grandad is looking forward to some wonderful years full of cuddles, loving attention and great walks together.
