Trish Bauer is going through a difficult time. To escape her personal problems, she spends many nights on social networks.
Little does she realise that a discovery she makes that night will change her life forever. Her life, that of her family and that of a dog that has been shaken by fate.
A social media post with consequences
As usual, Bauer scrolls through her Instagram feed, but then she sees something special.
„One night I was on Instagram, and a video with the words ‚Tomorrow I’m going to die all alone on this cold cement floor‘ gave me pause, and then the video was overlaid with a picture of a dog,“

„The moment my lost eyes saw his on the video, I knew he couldn’t die like that. His eyes looked like mine. Defeated by life.“
She comments on the post, moved by the fate of the dog, who is later named Cooper.
Quick action required
A few hours later, Bauer is awake again – and her smartphone is full of notifications. She learns that Cooper is to be put to sleep today.
Without thinking twice, she grabs her daughter and sets off. There is hardly any time to prepare anything.
Once there, Cooper runs straight into her daughter’s arms.
They take him with them, initially as a foster home, until he finds a new forever home. But a visit to the vet changes everything.
More bad news for the family
The family’s daughter and Cooper have had a special bond from the start, but unfortunately they also have a lot in common. The vet realises this during the examination.
Cooper has cancer. A fate shared by the daughter, who beat cancer not so long ago. The family immediately realise that they are also fighting for Cooper.
After loving care, he is strong enough and the operation goes well. Cooper no longer has to look for a new home because the family has taken the brave fighter in.
He has now found his place in the world.
