In Texas, however, the dog Max unfortunately disappeared from his home and was missing for weeks.
The family put up posters throughout the neighbourhood, hoping that their beloved family dog would return. According to the flyers, the family described Max as very friendly, sweet and calm.
The whole family – especially the two children – were worried sick. What happened to Max? Is he still alive and why can’t he find his way home?

Many weeks later, the neighbouring Bexar County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a stray dog was wandering around the area.
Fortunately, the officer recognised Max when he arrived because he had previously seen the family’s flyers and posters.
The sheriff quickly contacted the family of the missing dog. Unbelievable but true, it was indeed Max that the deputy personally returned.
After many weeks of hoping and worrying, Max was finally safe and sound with his family.
At the same time, the sheriff also witnessed the heartfelt reunion. This moment was absolutely heartwarming, especially the children burst into tears.
The sheriff’s office has now released pictures of the girls hugging Max.
One of the family’s two daughters was so moved by the joy of reunion that she burst into tears. A good deed by the police officers and the whole family, including Max, was overjoyed.
