Many pet owners occasionally find themselves giving their pet a snack from their plate that is actually not so good for the animal.
The cute cockatoo lady in this video, however, is fed exclusively on fast food and loses half of her feathers as a result.
Luckily, this cute bird was rescued!
A neglected and sick bird
Jenn is a vet and meets the rescued cockatoo Suzy Q, who was not being kept in a species-appropriate environment.
Her previous owners only fed Suzy Q fast food, which meant that the bird was malnourished and lost a lot of feathers.
In addition, Suzy Q is regularly left alone for several days at a time, causing the cockatoo to become lonely and depressed.
So Jenn adopts Suzy Q into her own home and into her gang of rescued animals. Now the cockatoo lady’s journey to recovery begins.
A transformation for Suzy Q
Gradually, Jenn gains the trust of her foster case and realises how funny and bright Suzy Q really is.
Whether in the shower, folding laundry or watching TV in the evening: Suzy Q is with her saviour all the time and is also always up for a laugh.
Little by little, the bird’s feathers are finally growing back, as Jenn feeds the animal healthy and species-appropriate food.
We all know how bad we feel when we’ve eaten too much fast food. So it’s lucky that Suzy Q can finally live a healthy, lively and loved life!
A new life for Suzy Q
Viewers on YouTube are horrified by the cockatoo’s previous behaviour and at the same time are happy that Suzy Q is now doing much better at Jenn’s.
User katymay2611 comments below the video:
„Poor baby. I’m so glad she was rescued and is now getting the love and care she deserves. What a beautiful blessing.“
User ribbithopx also recognises what a responsible pet owner Jenn is, writing:
„Jenn is such a good mum. Suzy Q looks happy and healthy.“
