A large oak tree in the park serves as a silent witness to a tragic event. A young puppy, barely six months old, is tied up there alone and trembling with fear.
Dev Naz, who learns of the situation, is determined to get to the bottom of it.
When he reaches the puppy, he immediately realises that something unimaginable has happened.
A horrific find
Dev is greeted by a horrific sight when he arrives to free the little puppy.
The wire holding the dog captive cuts deep into its neck and restricts its movements. How can anyone be so ruthless and ruthless?
The dog hasn’t moved an inch! With careful hand movements, Dev tries to move its legs, but something is wrong.
Unsure whether the puppy is suffering from distemper, a common and contagious disease, Dev puts on gloves and gently picks up the little dog.
The shocking truth
To enable a thorough examination, Dev places the puppy on the back of his lorry.
The puppy’s legs are numb and nobody knows what has happened to him. Dev begins to speculate.
Maybe the puppy was hit hard on the back?
But when he supports the dog lightly, he discovers the unbelievable: there are small wounds all over his body! Someone has shot him with a shotgun!
A fight for survival
Dev devises a plan. He takes the puppy back to his home and informs the vet that an urgent operation is required.
Due to the difficult financial situation, this proves to be a challenge. Operations are expensive! But Dev is determined and able to do a lot himself.
He treats the puppy for pain and infection and hopes to be able to carry out the operation as quickly as possible with donations to remove the bullets.
A day later, the brave puppy goes to the vet. It turns out that he can no longer feel his hind legs.
Diagnostic scans are necessary in order to draw up a suitable treatment plan.
Despite the unfamiliar surroundings and the many people, the puppy proves to be an exemplary animal!
The scans show the numerous balls in his little body.
The vet and Dev agree that an operation is essential to remove the balls and prevent further damage to the nerves.
With any luck, the puppy may be able to walk again, but there are no guarantees.
