For many dogs, their time at the shelter is associated with stress. There are too many animals here and none of them can get enough attention.
It is therefore not surprising when very special relationships develop between the residents, as is the case with these puppy brothers.
Together at the animal shelter
Two puppy siblings have a very special bond, which they express by touching each other.
In this way, the brothers comfort each other for as long as they have to stay at the shelter.
Together with their mum and their other six siblings, the adorable Schnauzer-Terrier mixes came to the shelter.
They found accommodation at LA Baby Mommas. The organisation usually takes care of puppies with disabilities or special needs.
Since these puppies were very healthy, the volunteers asked the Humane Society of NWLA to take in the litter along with their mother.
Sara Watson, the lead volunteer at HSNWLA, of course agreed and soon the little dogs arrived.
Fritos and Ruffles
Fritos and Ruffles are the names of the two adorable puppies. They romp around all day with the others.
But when they’re tired, they cuddle up close to each other and put their paws over each other – as if they wanted to hold hands.
They obviously feel very close to each other. They do not share this affectionate gesture with their other siblings.
The fact that puppies are so close to each other is really something very special and touches every member of staff who looks after the two adorable brothers.
A new home
Although all the puppies are terribly sweet and cute, at almost twelve weeks old they still need a lot of care.
Soon the puppies will be old enough to find a new home. In order to be ideally equipped, all puppies have been vaccinated, chipped and neutered at the shelter.
This gives them the best chance of finding a family. What’s more, with such charming characters, it should be easy to place them in good hands.
Perhaps Fritos and Ruffles can stay together so that they can continue to hold hands.
