When a dog has lived with a human all its life and is suddenly given away in its old age, the shock is huge.
This is exactly what poor Tuzan had to experience. Now he sits in the kennels of an overcrowded animal shelter and can only dream of the love he so desperately needs.
He no longer understands the world. Why was this done to him? Even the animal welfare workers don’t know. The only thing that is clear is that Tuzan needs a new home very quickly.
This is Tuzan
This lovable dog opi measures 55 centimetres at the shoulder and is already a proud 14 years old. But he is still beautiful.
With his thick black coat, white paws and white markings on his chest, he looks noble and very sweet. His grey muzzle makes him even cuter.
His beautiful brown eyes still have the lustre of a fun-loving dog and, above all, you can see his gentleness and friendliness.
Because that’s what Tuzan is through and through: a gentle, sweet, kind-hearted puppy who is devoted to people and simply wants to live in love and harmony.
He is always friendly to all people, just as he is to all his fellow dogs. He is also a calm dog who has the serenity of old age.
The few moments when he gets cuddles, is allowed to go for a walk or meets other dogs outside the kennels are the bright spots in his sad everyday life at the shelter.
Otherwise, he sits disappointed in his kennel and clings to the hope that someone will soon come along and give him love and a nice home.
The ideal home for Tuzan
Tuzan just wants love and security. He wants to spend the time he has left happy and with good two-legged friends.
Cuddles, walks, good food, loving care and the feeling that he is always valuable and welcome are his fervent wishes.
It is not known whether he was allowed to live indoors with his former owner and therefore knows the rules, or whether he had to live outside like so many dogs in Romania.
It is therefore quite possible that Tuzan will want to learn a lot in his old age once he has settled in.
With empathy, patience, understanding and positive, reinforcing training, he is sure to become a wonderful flatmate and companion.
He prefers a calm environment and would feel at home in a harmonious family or with seniors.
Will you give Tuzan the love he so desperately needs and a wonderful retirement in a cosy home?
