This fantastically beautiful and super-loving young dog has probably experienced nothing good in his life so far.
After Arnel was found by animal welfare organisations in Greece, he now has the chance to get the happy life he deserves. Maybe with you?
This is Arnel
This one-year-old male dog, who is around 50-55 centimetres tall and weighs 17 kilograms, immediately enchants everyone with his beautiful looks.
The agile stature, the pretty coat colour and the striking black markings around the muzzle and eyes are topped by the eyes themselves:
You can’t imagine a brighter, clearer blue and a deeper gaze.
Arnel certainly knows that he is pretty, but he doesn’t just want to be loved for his looks.
He longs to find people he can absolutely trust. Because what the gentle puppy has probably experienced so far has made him a little suspicious.
Arnel is always friendly, but reserved when meeting new people. However, you can see how much he would like to make contact, and a treat often helps to break the ice.
His mistrust is primarily directed at men, whereas he quickly gains trust with women.
As soon as Arnel has overcome his reticence and realises that someone is okay, he opens his big heart and seeks closeness. Then he can’t get enough of being stroked.
He is not at all shy around other dogs. He loves contact with other dogs, orientates himself towards them and always remains friendly and respectful.
It is much easier for Arnel to overcome his shyness when he is with a dog that is trusting towards people.
Arnel is looking for loving, patient people
This gentle male dog needs a lot of love and wants to feel that he is in good hands from now on and will never have to go through anything bad again.
He needs a lot of patience and understanding from his humans, especially when he is settling in. He wants to gain confidence at his own pace.
Once he has thawed out, he wants to cuddle extensively, go for lovely walks and get to know the world.
He needs patience and empathy with new contacts and new situations, as well as with training.
It would be best for him if a confident, friendly first dog already lived in his home, as this could help Arnel to settle in and become more self-confident.
