Living as a dog on the street or in an animal shelter is both terrible, only different. The street is dangerous, in an animal shelter you are locked up in a cramped kennel.
And in both cases, what cuddly Löwy needs most is not available: Love and closeness to people.
Ever since he was found lonely and abandoned on the street, he has suffered extremely from his bleak existence at the animal shelter. Löwy needs a loving home as soon as possible.
This is Löwy
Löwy is five years young and measures a handy shoulder height of just 43 centimetres. He looks a little bigger than he is, but that’s only because of his beautiful fluffy coat.
His luxuriant coat is semi-long, fluffy and soft and shines in reddish-brown with a black back.
Anyone who sees this adorable male dog can’t help but smile, he looks so incredibly cute and handsome.
This is mainly due to Löwy’s unique smile, which radiates such sweetness that it is infectious.
Actually, he has no reason to be happy because he is lonely in his kennel, even though he needs so much love.
But whenever one of the helpers comes to him, he starts beaming with joy, and when the person takes time for him, he can hardly believe his happiness.
Löwy loves people and really enjoys being close to them. He loves snuggling up to his two-legged friends, having his lovely fluffy fur stroked and doing things outside together.
He also shows what a friendly and social dog boy he is to all his fellow dogs.
His heart is full of love, which he would like to give away, and at the same time he wants so much to finally be loved.
Löwy’s story
What happened to Löwy before he was found is anyone’s guess. The most likely scenario is that he was abandoned and had to fend for himself on the streets for quite some time.
Despite all the negative experiences he has certainly had, he is simply good-natured personified and has retained both his confidence and his zest for life.
The perfect home for Löwy
What Löwy needs to be happy is clear: love, love and more love, lots of closeness and plenty of cuddles.
He wants to be welcome at all times, to feel the affection of his humans and to have a full family bond.
Daily activities together and contact with other dogs are also essential.
Löwy probably doesn’t know what life in the house is like or it has been a few years. He therefore needs to be patiently and sensitively acclimatised and lovingly trained with positive reinforcement.
Löwy is sure to be the most loyal friend imaginable and will always bring a smile to his family’s faces.
