When you open the baggage compartment of an airplane after a flight, you will normally find suitcases, bags and other items that are not allowed in the passenger cabin.
For example, transport boxes containing animals. But not an animal without a box, standing behind the door of the baggage compartment with big innocent eyes.
The staff can hardly believe their eyes
After a six-hour domestic flight in the USA, the plane lands without a hitch.
As the passengers rise from their seats, the luggage compartment is opened from outside to remove the cargo.
But when the employees open the hatch, they recoil in shock.
A dog is standing there, looking at them and wanting to get out.
The red Shiba Inu can’t understand the flight crew’s shock.
It’s understandable that you don’t want to stay in a box for six hours. You have to stretch your legs and take a closer look at the luggage compartment.
This is how the dog got out of the box
The staff’s astonishment is understandable, as all the dogs were safely in their crates on departure and sleeping soundly thanks to tranquilizers.
There is an empty transport box in the luggage compartment to match the freed dog – the door of which clearly shows how the four-legged friend got out.
The dog, who goes by the name of Sputnik, has simply gnawed through the door, and very skillfully at that. She chewed the lock off very accurately.
She obviously didn’t care about the tranquilizer either.
Who knows when she woke up and freed herself. It’s very lucky that nothing happened to her during the flight.
Her master is just as shocked
Of course, Sputnik is accompanied by a human. His name is John Krajewski and he believed all along that the four-legged friend was safe and asleep.
He is all the more astonished when he finds out what Sputnik has done. He can’t believe it, but the photo of the dog in the open luggage compartment door and the gnawed-through box prove it.
Sputnik, however, is not aware of any guilt. She greets her master with complete coolness and seems to say:
„Next time, please let me fly first class.“
John is not annoyed, just surprised, very amused and, above all, relieved that Sputnik’s unusual escapade went well.
