On a quiet evening, Chelsea Mottashed just couldn’t fall asleep when suddenly a notification from her security camera caused her smartphone to vibrate.
Chelsea decided to take a closer look at the situation and discovered Baby Girl, the neighbor’s dog, acting strangely.
The neighbor’s dog in the garden
It was almost midnight and Baby Girl seemed to be roaming restlessly around the Mottasheds‘ freshly planted flowerbed. Then the little dog disappeared, only to reappear two hours later in exactly the same place.
At first, Chelsea was at a complete loss as to what Baby Girl was doing out there, until she finally saw the light.
She realized that Baby Girl must have buried something and could hardly wait to tell her husband about her nocturnal discovery the next morning.
Together they rushed into the garden to get to the bottom of the mystery.
A dog’s treasure was hidden
When the couple realized that Baby Girl had indeed hidden a treasure in their backyard, they were curious as to what it might be.
What was so valuable to Baby Girl that she had buried it and come back to look at it later?
To her surprise and delight, the treasure turned out to be a slice of pizza. Chelsea remembered that the dog had often sought out the Domino’s vendor and suspected that Baby Girl had snagged a slice at night.
The couple couldn’t help but laugh heartily as they solved the mystery of the hidden treasure. But they decided that they couldn’t just bury the slice of pizza again. After all, ants had already discovered the tasty find.
„We ended up throwing the pizza away because the ants had gotten to it, but I put some dog treats out near their garden because I felt bad,“
mottashed told the Dodo.
Because while a slice of pizza isn’t exactly a classic treasure, it was obviously invaluable to the little pooch.
