Cats that don’t have a home look for the most unusual places to live. This was the case with stray Jenny, who was living in a sewer.
Fortunately, she was rescued by the local animal shelter and brought to safety.
Not only was Jenny’s health poor, she was also carrying a very special secret under her heart..
Things were not going well for Jenny
The stray cat was severely malnourished, which is of course not unusual for street cats.
The animal shelter also discovered that Jenny was pregnant.
This is actually good news, but not in Jenny’s case. Her state of health made it practically impossible for her to give birth.
They absolutely had to nurture the cat so that she would survive the whole thing.
The volunteers did everything for Jenny
They worked tirelessly to care for the cat and keep her as healthy as possible.
Fortunately, all the effort paid off and Jenny got better and better.
However, she was still very skittish and didn’t trust people or animals.
These were not the best conditions for the upcoming birth.
The day of birth drew ever closer
Over time, Jenny crawled out of her shell.
But shortly afterwards she withdrew again and hardly ate.
Was the birth about to start?
That’s what happened: the cat went into labor and was strong enough to give birth to five healthy kittens.
The kittens grew up and when the fur pattern was clear, everyone was amazed. What was that?
One baby looked completely different from its siblings
The kitten’s fur was curly. It looked as if it was wearing a perm.
Even the vet had never seen anything like it.
But the medical examination revealed no physical problems, the kitten was completely healthy.
It just looked a little different.
The animal shelter then called in an experienced cat breeder, but even she was at a loss.
„This is the most beautiful cat I’ve ever seen“
said the breeder and adopted the little curly-haired cat.
She did absolutely the right thing – adopting an animal from an animal shelter or rescue organization is the best thing you can do.
There are too many animals eagerly waiting for a loving home.
