Everyday life in this profession is often full of surprises, because hardly any two calls are the same. And yet there are always jobs that stand out – they stay in the memory for a long time.
Dahmm hesitates to accept the job. When he got the call to clear out an abandoned flat, he wasn’t sure if he could find the time.
But eventually Ryan and his wife Samantha find a moment and make their way to the site to take a closer look.
An unusual assignment
As soon as they entered the flat, the Dahmms sensed that something was wrong. An eerie silence hung over the room.

Their gaze immediately falls on a large container in the far corner of the room. The Dahmms guessed what might be hiding inside.
A surprise guest
As they slowly approach, their hunch is confirmed – a brown and black snake is lying there, curled up and lonely. The Dahmms can hardly believe that this small animal was abandoned here.
Ryan is overcome with a feeling of indignation. Although he doesn’t really like snakes, he represses his fears and decides to take action. Fortunately, Samantha has experience in animal rescue and knows what to do.
They ask the owner of the flat to confirm that the snake has indeed been abandoned and take the scaly companion home with them. There they initially provide her with food and water.
Thanks to Samantha’s contacts in animal welfare, the Dahmms eventually find an experienced carer who is happy to take in the lost snake temporarily.
„The snake is now living a happy life,“
ryan says proudly.
„It has a new terrarium, a comfortable bed and plenty of light.“
The snake will stay with its foster family until it is ready to move into a permanent home. In the meantime, she can finally relax and is certainly grateful that the Dahmms found her that day.
