Having to grow up in an animal shelter is bad enough.
But when all your siblings are adopted and you’re left all alone, it’s really heartbreaking.
Unfortunately, the sweet dream dog Clover had to go through this experience.
Now he can at least move into a foster home at the beginning of April, but he would love to finally have a forever home.
This is Clover
„Clover“ means „shamrock“ in English, and Clover is just as pretty as a shamrock.
The gorgeous male is about one and a half years old and around 60 to 65 centimetres tall. Because of his appearance, the animal welfare officers suspect that he is a guard dog mix.
Clover is absolutely friendly towards people and also gets on well with other dogs.
The handsome puppy approaches people openly and loves being close to them.
As a guard dog mix, Clover is an intelligent, confident and vigilant dog who loves the outdoors and needs to be kept busy.
As he grew up in a shelter, he doesn’t know anything about the world yet and he’s not familiar with the ABCs of dogs, but with his clever mind and open-minded nature, he’s looking forward to learning everything.
Clover’s story
Clover was born in Romania and came to the shelter as a small puppy together with his siblings and his loving mum.
He had to spend the all-important puppyhood, which he was supposed to spend playing and learning, in a kennel in the overcrowded public shelter.
In the meantime, all his siblings have been rehomed and Clover was left lonely, even though he is such a beautiful and kind-hearted dream dog.
Urgently looking for a forever home
All his young life, Clover has hoped that someone would take him into their heart and take him home.
He longs for love, security and fun activities. He would also like to finally learn the ABC of dogs.
Clover is looking for a lot of patience and understanding from his people as he settles in and learns, as well as an exclusively positive, reinforcing upbringing.
As a guard dog mix with an independent personality, he needs consistent yet sensitive leadership.
Clover would like to live in a rural area, as city life is not for him.
He would also like a large, well-fenced garden that he can guard, but where he can also play and run around to his heart’s content.
