Born into hardship and adversity, a tiny four-month-old puppy named Bambi is ready to steal your hearts. As a mixed breed of chihuahua, and weighing approximately four pounds, Bambi exudes strength through her innocence. Despite her tough start to life, this little fighter is determined not to let adversity define her.
Bambi, along with her mom, were found on the dangerous streets of Houston, Texas. Her mom, pregnant and on the streets, experienced unspeakable hardships. From starvation to attacks and abuse, she faced it all. Throughout her ordeal, the one thing she held onto was the imminent birth of her puppies.
From Streets to Foster Care: Bambi’s Journey
Their lives took a turn when a kind-hearted lady found them and offered them a foster home. The love and care that transformed their lives were abruptly interrupted by the echoing fear and trauma they’d faced on the streets. Despite growing up in the safety of a foster home, Bambi is a timid little creature. She finds meeting new people intimidating and remains alert, owing to the fear that she unintentionally inherited from her mother.
But don’t let her diffidence fool you. Bambi possesses an inner strength that echoes her mom’s resilience. She yearns for a kind, patient and loving family of her own. She dreams of finding her humans who will be forgiving of her timidity and patiently teach her the true meaning of love and trust.

Despite the fear that holds her back, Bambi is healthy and ready for adoption. Her well-kept health protocol includes deworming, DHPPI, rabies and Bordetella vaccines. She also comes with a negative heartworm test certificate, a health certificate, and a vaccines booklet.
Bambi would thrive best with families who are conscious of the needs of rescued street animals. She’s also ideally suited for families with experience in dog behavior and training, and high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. In the true sense, Bambi, though currently not house trained, is a diamond in the rough, ready to shine, given the right circumstances.
