Scott suffers from depression. He has just lost his beloved sheepdog. To take his mind off things, he drives along the country roads in the US state of Idaho.
On a piece of land, he sees a sign saying „German Shepherds: Puppies for sale“. Scott stops his car.
Love at first sight

Scott doesn’t actually intend to buy a dog that day. He just wants to enjoy the sight of the puppies.
But then his eyes fall on Biggie. The little dog is considered difficult to place as he suffers from a type of hernia. Scott couldn’t care less. It was love at first sight.
„I took him with me straight away. The rest is history“,
is how Scott succinctly describes his decision.
A special bond

It is one of the best decisions of his life. Scott and Biggie share an invisible bond that only exists between true friends.
„I’ve never had a connection with a dog like this and I want to give him the best life I can,“
says Scott. Biggie can’t put it like that, of course, but it’s clear: he feels exactly the same way as his new human Scott.
A mutual healing

If Scott offers Biggie a great life, then the opposite is equally true. With the help of the German shepherd, Scott is able to overcome his depression.
„I feel like I can go out and just do anything when he’s with me,“
scott describes the effect of his relationship with Biggie on himself.
Two adventurers on the road
The two friends actually spend a lot of their time outside. Biggie needs at least two hours of exercise a day to keep from bursting with energy.

Whether snowboarding, hiking or swimming in clear mountain lakes: Biggie is enthusiastic about all activities.
Living the moment

The couple’s happiness comes to a standstill once, when Biggie has to go into hospital and is in intensive care.
Since having his beloved Biggie back home, Scott has tried to focus more on the dog’s way of life:
„Dogs live in the moment. They don’t think about the future and don’t fret about the past.“
