On a remote forest trail, Ashley Boggs comes across a desperate mother dog begging for help.
The story of a heroic rescue unfolds as the experienced animal rights activist from Miracles for Satos Rescue embarks on a mission to change everything.
The desperate mother and her lonely fight for survival
It’s an ordinary day on a forest road in Puerto Rico when Ashley Boggs witnesses a heartbreaking scene.
A mother dog, brown and helpless, stops cars and begs for help.
But this is no ordinary stray – she seems desperate to communicate something to Ashley.

Ashley quickly realizes that the dog that stopped her is a nursing mother, looking for support for her newborn puppies.
In a remote part of the forest, without food or water, this brave dog fights alone for her family.
The situation becomes increasingly urgent, but luckily Ashley is on hand to save the family from the worst.

The heroic deed: a dog rescuer in action
Ashley discovers two puppies alongside the mother dog, who is later affectionately named Goji.
Each of them is extremely friendly, making it easy for the rescuer to get the family into her car. But the rescue is not over yet.
More puppy cries come from the woods and Ashley feels she must return to check.

Sure enough, she finds four more puppies hiding nearby.
The happy ending: a family finds their home
With perseverance, she secures all the pups in her car and brings them to Miracles for Satos Rescue.
The puppies are given the names Raspberry, Blueberry, Gooseberry, Cloudberry, Blackberry and Strawberry.

„We named them after berries because we picked them from the bushes,“
explains the MFSR team.
The mother dog, Goji, is having no trouble adapting to the new situation.
„She is the absolute best dog. She loves every dog and every person she meets. She loves cuddles and snuggles and will even do tricks for treats,“
writes the rescue organization on its Facebook page.

It doesn’t take long for the „berry family“ to find a home. There they can now grow up happily and enjoy the love they deserve.

A true transformation that shows that compassion and commitment can change the lives of animals.
