Abandoned dogs don’t have it easy. They have to find food and shelter.
Many dogs that used to have a home don’t know how to do this.
It gets particularly bad when the outside temperatures drop below freezing. Then it can quickly become life-threatening.
Urgent rescue operation
Snow White, an abandoned dog, has been lying outside in the snow for two days.
She is completely exhausted and will soon freeze to death.
Fortunately, Stray Paws, an animal welfare organization, hears about her and immediately sets out to rescue her.
Once there, they can hardly believe that the dog has survived for several days in these conditions.
A layer of snow already covers her body and it is high time someone helped her and brought her into the warmth.
The start of a new life
The rescuers take Snow White to the vet. There she is given infusions to warm her body.
The doctor estimates her age at around three years. Unfortunately, she has no chip or other markings that could be used to identify her.
Her recovery takes a long time because her body and soul have been through so much.
But after three months of medical treatment and recovery, she can walk again and her body has largely regenerated.
It is all the better to know that she has already found a home where she can stay forever so that her soul will soon be better too.
The fate of the abandoned dog, who was on the verge of death, has therefore changed completely.
Her story shows how important it is to pay attention and help animals in need.
