Jennifer immediately contacted TAGG Rescue in Dallas, who helped her get Ellie out of the shelter and find a temporary foster home.
The hope of a new home
A friend of Jessup’s sets off to pick up Ellie and finds her still snuggled up close to her teddy bear.
Ellie clings desperately to her only comfort in this strange and frightening environment.
It is moving to see how this little teddy bear gives Ellie some comfort in the midst of all her fears.
She is taken to a foster home until transport can be organised to Florida, where Jessup’s brother lives.
During the whole time, Ellie clings to her teddy bear again and again.
A few days later, the time has come – Ellie sets off for Florida with the support of TWD Transport.
The journey is exhausting and Ellie is tired and anxious, but Jessup is confident that she will come out of her shell.
