When little Teddy rolls in the baby carriage for the first time after his birth, the dog Dora is completely blown away by the baby. It lies there so sweetly and helplessly.
Dora now has a little human brother and she decides to keep an eye on him at all times. After all, nothing should happen to him.
Watchful eyes full of love
The Staffordshire bull terrier with the big heart remains true to this decision. Wherever Teddy is, Dora is there too.

In the early days, this mainly means that she lies down wherever he is: whether it’s in the crib or somewhere else.
She is immediately wide awake at every sound and every movement Teddy makes. This doesn’t change as Teddy’s babyhood slowly passes.

The best playmate
For Teddy, on the other hand, Dora is as dear and familiar as only his own mom. That’s no wonder.
He has known his big dog sister for almost as long and spends a lot of time with her every day.

As Teddy gets a little older and can run around, Dora develops into his favorite playmate. A very special bond has grown between the two of them.
As Dora is still quite young herself, the two of them have many happy years ahead of them together. What better prospect could there be for the boy and the dog?

Dangerous list dog or caring nanny?
If you believe the German breed lists, Dora is something of a walking danger to her little brother. 10 out of 16 German states classify the Staffordshire bull terrier as dangerous.
At the same time, the breed has a reputation as a „nanny dog“. There is probably no doubt as to which category Dora would put herself in.
As is almost always the case, it is a dog’s upbringing and not its breed that determines its character. No dog in the world is born a fighting machine.
