When asked how much they like dogs, most people would probably answer „very much“.
But would these same people also jump into cold water to rescue a dog from the water? The answer is questionable, as this video unfortunately proves.
Dog in urgent need
The dog in this video is in danger of drowning. The four-legged friend was being beaten by teenagers and had no choice but to jump into a raging river to save himself.
Now the four-legged friend is no longer able to escape the strong currents. The promenade around the water is full of people.
Even though many people see the dog and his struggle for survival, no one comes to his rescue.
The furry friend is scared, excited and at the end of his tether. The surrounding people watch in horror as the animal drowns.
A heroic birthday boy
A man celebrates his birthday on the promenade and can’t just look away. He organizes a life jacket and jumps into the cold waters.
As soon as the man reaches the dog, he realizes that the furry friend is also afraid of him and tries to bite him.
The dog catches the man on the hand and face with its sharp teeth. Nevertheless, the rescuer grabs the four-legged friend’s fur and slowly pulls him to shore.
This man is a true hero. He doesn’t look away when everyone else is looking away and recognizes that the dog’s aggressive behaviour stems from its fear and panic.
Praise and encouragement from the internet
Viewers on YouTube are horrified that no one helps the dog and everyone just looks on. Instead, they praise the man’s efforts effusively.
