Four ears, one eye, overbite, flared hind legs – what kind of animal could this be?
Frankie didn’t get his name by chance. Short for „Frankenkätzchen“, the very special-looking Frankie really is something very special.
But anyone who manages to look behind the façade will be rewarded with a gentle and loving friend.
Frankie doesn’t let anything get him down
He was born under a suburban house to a feral mother and at least one sibling. There may have been other siblings, but only Frankie and his brother survive.
Homeowner Georgi Anderson takes the kittens under his wing and cares for them for a few weeks before handing them over to a shelter for medical care and future adoption.
When he arrives at the shelter, Frankie still has both eyes, but due to a potentially fatal infection, one eye has to be removed.
He also needs an operation on his knees,
„to stabilise his joints, but I still need to save money for that, the operation is quite expensive,“
says Georgi. And the list of problems goes on..
„Because of his overbite, his lower canines poked through the roof of his mouth,“
reports Georgi.
Four-eared cheeky cat
Frankie’s teeth have now been „cut“ in an operation, his eye is gone and his legs are still crooked.
But there is a special magic about Frankie, says the person who is now caring for him:
„It wasn’t his special looks that made me fall for him – it was the sweet way he explores his surroundings and how he seeks closeness with me.“
His two extra ears mean that his hearing is somewhat muffled, his lack of eyes naturally means that he sees less well than other cats and his deformed teeth make it difficult for him to eat moist food.
But despite all the resistance, Frankie has retained his kindness and his cheekiness.
It is easy to forgive him for this because, like a dog, he is a loyal companion and even seems to be very aware of the mood of the people around him.
Beauty comes from within. Frankie, whether Frankenstein, pirate or whatever, is the best example of the fact that true beauty cannot be measured by how many eyes or ears you have.
