Anyone who lives under the same roof as a dog and cat will be familiar with such games :
The unequal four-legged friends quickly get into a heated argument about who actually owns the cozy bed.
No matter how big the bed is that you buy for your dog – if you have a cat in the house, it will want to claim it for itself!
Trouble between dog and cat
Sometimes cats can be really mean – and dogs can act like big babies. Cats just love to make themselves really comfortable, and the dog in the house often feels this too.
They want to show him who’s in charge in the house! However, dogs usually remain peaceful and avoid a confrontation with the kitty.
Or they are simply too tired to waste their energy defending the bed.
Not so the golden retriever in this video, who suddenly came into the living room to take a nap in his fluffy bed.
But he didn’t count on the baby kitten, who was already lying happily in his bed and looking at the dog as if it knew nothing.
„He immediately smelled that something was wrong.“
The four-legged friend immediately ran over to his bed – only to find that the kitten had already snatched away his favorite spot.
The kitty’s look was worth a thousand words. She meowed at him as if to say „Go away, dog!“
Slowly, the dog became really desperate and started to sneak around his bed . Somehow it had to be possible for him to regain his sleeping place.
By now, the golden retriever was visibly annoyed and huffed angrily at the cat . He kept circling the bed in the hope that the kitten would finally give up.
But no chance! Although he even barked at the kitty, she made no move to budge even an inch – the bed was simply TOO cozy.
He didn’t give up
Then the four-legged friend tried a different tactic – he started to snuggle up to the big bed.
He kept looking at his human, who was filming this funny fight over the bed with amusement – he was obviously hoping for help.
But he didn’t get it – and so he became increasingly stubborn and aggressive towards the cat.
He continued to bark at the kitty and pushed his head under the bed to push the cat away – until he finally tipped half the bed over.
However, all his efforts were in vain – the cat was not deterred by anything. Even when he tried to turn over the entire bed, he failed. And the kitty only gave an unimpressive „meow“.
More extreme measures were required
Finally, the four-legged friend had had enough and decided to pull the bed away with his mouth so that the cat would finally vacate the space.
But all his efforts were in vain – which is why he temporarily gave up and lay down next to the bed, panting.
A new plan was needed! Maybe the cat would share the sleeping area with him? No sooner said than done.
The dog joined the cat on the bed – and lo and behold, she had no problem at all and allowed it!
But the four-legged friend wasn’t satisfied with that, he really wanted his bed back for himself! So he continued to bark at the kitty and tried to push her off the bed – but this only ended in a loud hiss from the kitty.
Then the kitten suddenly discovered that there was actually a much better bed – the dog itself!
She climbed on top of him and now both the cat and the dog seemed very happy with the situation.
