There are moments that are hard to forget. Especially not when they involve encounters with powerful and beautiful animals.
But they are not always beautiful memories; sometimes these encounters have a sad background.
Cakiez, who lives in Hawaii and has a very special encounter with a sea turtle, also has to make this experience.
The day begins as normal
On a walk along the coast, Cakiez and her companion notice a strange figure sticking out of the rocks.
It is a desperate sea turtle. It has wedged itself into a crevice and is now trying in vain to free itself amidst the roaring waves.
The fear the animal is feeling is written all over its face.
„She tried to free herself with every wave,“
comments Cakiez.
Just as she is thinking about how best to help the struggling animal, the rescue comes.
The turtle is helped
It is a heartbreaking sight as the turtle fights its way back into its habitat.
„Unfortunately, I’m not strong enough to pull this big green guy out, but luckily there was a local nearby who brought him safely back to his family,“
reports Cakiez.
The anonymous helper rescues the sea dweller. Cakiez is overjoyed and posts a video of the rescue on Instagram.
Just a few days after her post, Cakiez goes snorkeling and comes across a sea turtle – who knows, maybe it’s the animal she rescued.
