An animal shelter is not a suitable long-term home for any dog. Not least because it is emotionally overwhelming for them.
It’s loud here, it’s chaotic, and one or more dogs are constantly barking. Comfort is also not the best thing here.
So for a dog that is used to living in a house, it’s a kind of hell on earth.
Dog is simply abandoned

Carson, a cuddly and kind-hearted pit bull, was handed in to an animal shelter by his owners because they were fed up with him. According to a report by TheDodo.
He suffered from some allergies that led to skin problems, but that definitely shouldn’t have been a reason to just throw him out of the house.

Of course, this also left its mark on Carson. He had lost all courage to face life and his trust in people had also fallen to zero.
Carer takes Carson home with her

Lauren, who worked as a volunteer at Carson’s shelter, decided to take the pit bull home with her.
She knew that only if he felt safe and secure would he find his way back to his old self.

In fact, the two were the perfect match right from the start. Wherever Lauren went, Carson wasn’t far behind.
That’s why Lauren decided to officially adopt Carson – and everyone was happy with that decision, including Carson, of course.
The two are inseparable and love nothing more than cuddling on the sofa together.
But jogging and going for walks together are also among their favorite activities.
From anxious dog to self-confident dog man
It’s so nice to see how much Carson has blossomed under Lauren’s care and how happy he is.
We wish there were many more people like Lauren who would do anything to give an animal a loving home and security.
