This man was walking along a river when he saw a blind woman lying on the riverbank – completely soaked and covered in mud!
A dog was sitting right next to her, looking at her with sad eyes and protecting the woman who appeared to be its owner.
He was horrified by the sight
Ake photographed the shocking scene and posted the photo on Facebook, which left people speechless.
He was in tears when he realised what he had just witnessed. He immediately called the local authorities, who arrived a short time later and took the woman to the nearby hospital.
The dog stayed by his owner’s side the whole time and was there for her even in the most difficult hours of her life.
This story proves once again that we humans still have a lot to learn about compassion from animals.
A happy life
Dogs are simply the most wonderful creatures on this earth – they are funny, friendly and often get up to mischief, but at the crucial moment they protect their favourite person and would do anything for them.
The four-legged friend and his owner will definitely enjoy their life together even more now – because this event has strengthened their bond even more.
