Cris, an employee at the Alto Vale hospital in Brazil, posted a picture of four dogs sitting patiently outside the doors of his workplace.
There they wait patiently for their owner, who had to be treated. When the owner finally arrives, the dogs have a heartwarming reaction.
Homeless, but with a big heart for animals
At 3 a.m., a man was admitted to the hospital and treated. An existing illness made a stay in the hospital unavoidable.
The homeless Brazilian has a deep friendship with four equally homeless dogs. Despite the heat or cold, he shares with them what he has to survive.
The gratitude of his four-legged friends is certain.

After the treatment
Dogs are rarely allowed in hospitals and usually street dogs are not allowed on the hospital grounds.
In this particular case, the staff and colleagues at Cris in Alto Vale made an exception and left the animals in their waiting area.
After the treatment, the unknown homeless man was given a meal. He hardly touched it himself.
After just a few bites, he picked up the rest of the food.
Even though no one could see him do so, everyone at the hospital is convinced that he would have shared the rest of the food with his dogs.
