Rere and her children
The cat is a velvet paw named Rere, who lives with her humans in East Madison, Maine, in the USA. Rere is a mom.
Shortly before the video is taken, the little mouse comes out from under a chest of drawers and joins the kittens.
The kittens obviously share their mom’s mouse-friendly nature, because they don’t harm a hair on the little rodent.
The mouse briefly enjoys the company of the little house tigers, then sets off for lunch with Rere.
„Now there’s a kind of bond between this mouse and my kittens and my mommy cat! This morning the mouse was sleeping among the kittens“,
reports Rere’s owner in the video description.
Why are the animals behaving so unusually?
It is difficult to say why the cat, her kittens and the mouse are behaving so unusually.
What we can assume with certainty is that the cat is always well fed.
Nevertheless, nine out of ten house tigers would not suppress their innate hunting instinct if they saw a mouse.
And why the mouse has thrown all fear overboard is even harder to explain.
