Lexa was found on the street when she was still a puppy. She only had her sister Elsa with her and the two of them were left to fend for themselves.
After the two were fortunately rescued and placed in a foster home, they now face a sad life in the kennels of an overcrowded animal shelter.
Unfortunately, foster homes in Romania are limited in time. So Lexa is in a hurry – she doesn’t want to go to kennels. She wants a happy life in a loving home.
This is Lexa
The pretty Lexa is only one year old, so she is almost still a child. At 50 centimetres at the shoulder, she is probably already fully grown.
Lexa is an agile female dog with a short black and brown patterned coat and particularly beautiful facial markings. Her kind and attentive look from her black button eyes goes straight to the heart.
This enchanting little dog also has a convincing character, as Lexa has a very friendly, warm-hearted and open-minded nature.
She loves all people and is open and cuddly. This sweet mouse enjoys being stroked and wants to be very close to her two-legged friends.
In addition to cosy cuddles, her favourite pastimes include activities that challenge her physically and mentally and, of course, nice walks.
The young dog also shows her social, good-natured character towards other dogs.
Despite her difficult start in life, her time on the streets and the disappointment of probably having been abandoned, Lexa has retained her cheerful, positive nature.
That is impressive – but now she is threatened with a move to an animal shelter and a lot of suffering that could turn this cheerful little dog into a very sad dog.
Lexa urgently needs a home
Lexa must not be allowed to lead a miserable existence in kennels. She is desperate to find loving people who will take her in forever or offer her a foster home.
What is most important to her is tangible love, cuddles, a full-fledged family bond, contact with other dogs of her own species, and activity for body and mind.
She does not yet know the rules of life as a family dog, but this people-orientated dog will certainly enjoy learning with positive reinforcement and patience.
