Baron’s life got off to the worst possible start. Not only did he have to grow up on the streets – his dangerous existence also cost him a leg.
But sadness and resentment are foreign words for this wonderful young dog. He makes the best of his life and has kept his big heart despite everything.
Unfortunately, nobody sees that. He has been waiting in a foster home for over a year for someone to finally take him home for good and love him for who he is.
This is Baron
The sweet male dog, who is now three years old, weighs around 45 kilograms and has a handsome build. He is probably descended from guard dogs.
Accordingly, he is alert and happy to be allowed to watch over his foster home’s property. However, he is not aggressive or disobedient.
Baron’s heart is big enough to welcome all people. Of course, his family gets a lot of love.
He is also friendly towards other dogs. However, he also „says something“ when big dogs bark at him.
On walks, Baron is sometimes still a little unsettled when he has to deal with too many stimuli. He reacts by simply standing still. He then needs support from his humans.
Apart from this little thing, Baron is very uncomplicated. He tolerates grooming without any objections and even likes travelling by car and train.
It goes without saying that he also comes into the office with us, where he (to the envy of his humans) comfortably sleeps away the working day.
The big cuddly bear loves to cuddle, but he also likes to be physically active, which is something you wouldn’t expect from him. Baron is missing a front leg.
Surprisingly, however, he walks and runs just as well on his three legs as he does with four.
Baron’s history
Baron spent the first part of his life on the streets of Romania. As if the hunger, cold, dirt and loneliness weren’t bad enough, he was hit by a car.
Unfortunately, his left front leg could no longer be saved and had to be amputated.
The brave little dog has simply shrugged off this difficult fate and is enjoying life.
The ideal home for Baron
Baron is so easy to take anywhere that he doesn’t mind living with a single working person or a working couple.
What is very important to him, however, is lots of love and time together. Not a day can go by without a good cuddle, but he also wants to go for nice walks.
As he is so big himself and likes to keep an eye on things, his home must offer enough space and have a well-fenced garden that he can guard.
Baron’s two-legged friends should have experience with guard dogs in order to fulfil his needs.
He also needs training to remain confident and calm in situations with lots of stimuli.
Because of his weight, his humans should be able to cope with him physically.
