Completely exhausted and at the end of his tether, the three-legged cat Bubby returned to the house that had once been his home.
Bubby was looking for love
Bubby also met Seson, the resident’s cat, who Bubby then played with.
Soon Bubby, the man and Seson had formed a deep friendship.
Bubby had his own place in the house, his own leash and his own food, according to a report from epischinteressant.com.
But the cat, who only had half a tail as well as three legs, didn’t really move in.
He was too wild and independent for that.
His foster family accepted this and so Bubby was a much-loved house guest for many years – until the day the man died.
Bubby only put his three paws in the house once more and was never seen again.
Return after many years
Years later, the family decided to look for Bubby and lure him back into their home – but forgot to put his food outside the door.
Nevertheless, the cat strayed back into his familiar neighborhood and was discovered by Ray Pinsent, a real cat lover.
Ray knew the deep love that had bound Bubby and his best friend. He also saw straight away that Bubby was in a really bad way.
So he tried everything to catch the cat – without success, because despite his poor health, Bubby wanted to stay free.
Ray sees only one way out
So Ray decided to ask the new residents of the house to leave their front door open. Although they were afraid of cats, they reluctantly agreed.
And just one day later, Ray’s plan had worked – Bubby had strayed into his old kitchen, where he was apparently clinging on for dear life.
Ray springs into action
Ray dropped everything and immediately took Bubby to Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables, where the vets were able to save him.
The shelter then put out a post to find Bubby’s humans.
Sure enough, the deceased man’s daughter made contact and brought Bubby his favorite foods.
Bubby now lives with Sarah, who works for the shelter. He has had enough of trips outside – he prefers to cuddle up with his new family, where he is doing wonderfully.
