Regrettably, several shelter dogs face disappointment as potential owners walk past them, not even offering a moment of consideration. The pooches feel neglected, as they are disregarded day after day.

Kylie is one of these hopeful shelter dogs who understands the recurrent feeling of letdown and neglect.
Above all else, Kylie harbors a wish for an opportunity. She yearns to encounter humans who will bestow upon her the love she so rightly deserves.
Kylie’s Surrender
Kylie used to have a proper household and family. Life was good for her on the farm. Even after pregnancy, the family continued to take care of her.
But over time, it became evident that the charming canine was having a troubling pregnancy that required a C-section.
Due to Kylie’s family’s financial constraints, they had to make the tough choice of leaving her to the Spokane Humane Society in Washington. Their priority was to get their adored dog the medical attention she needed.
Luckily, Kylie bore excellent, healthy offspring who eventually found comfortable households to live in.
However, Kylie was left behind at the shelter, puzzled and longing for her parents. The love she used to experience from them was deeply missed as she hoped for their return.
The shelter staff was disheartened as no one showed interest in offering a new home to the lovely mother dog.
Relocating To A Different Shelter
With an aim to find better fortune in a different location, the dog was shifted from Spokane shelter to Benton-Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, Washington.
At the Kennewick shelter, Julie, a volunteer, was captivated by the charming dog. She endeavours to shower her with affection and interact as much as possible.
“I spend time with her in her cage, and she enjoys my company. She relishes the attention. It’s difficult for her since she craves more human interaction than she gets,” Julie shared with GeoBeats Animals.
The arrivals of new volunteers bring joy to Kylie as well as other inhabitants of the shelter, as they look forward to playtime.
“The enthusiasm is palpable, else they remain confined in their cages for nearly 22 hours daily,” Julie adds.
As soon as the dog hears the shelter staff and volunteers nearing, she welcomes them enthusiastically, toy in mouth, her tail wagging, and her radiant eyes twinkling with affection. That’s her way of expressing her eagerness for their company.
Julie cherishes Kylie’s broad smiles. She often delights her with a new toy, which she picks up for the canine en-route to the shelter.
The Lovable Pooch Enjoys Human Company
Kylie had her beginnings on a farm, cohabiting with other creatures, before her surrender.
Her attitude towards fellow animals underwent a transformation following her three-year stay at the kennel. She now prefers to keep to herself.
The primary hurdle for Kylie in securing a home, as Julie sees it, is her perceived dislike of other animals.
“I believe the prime reason she has yet to find a house is because the majority of the pet enthusiasts own a cat or a dog. Discovering a person who meets Kylie’s unique requirements is a massive challenge,” she expressed.
Kylie relishes the company of humans. Julie allowed her to mingle with her nieces, and the heartwarming canine was bursting with joy at the chance to interact and play.
This loving pup has a heart full of affection to offer. She just needs someone to give her a shot.
As per Julie’s statement to GeoBeats Animals, their locality is grappling with a severe ‚pet overpopulation crisis,‘ making it challenging to secure a foster for Kylie.
The shelter personnel continue to have faith that their charming lady will find the wonderful residence she truly merits.
