USA, California – „Blackie“ was taken to the vet by his former owner due to obvious pain in his hind leg.
The vet discovered an extremely painful and bursting tumor in the dog’s tail area.
A bleeding tumor needs special care. Regular careful bathing and gentle brushing and generally keeping the wound clean are mandatory.
However, Blackie’s owner felt she was not up to the task and decided without further ado to get rid of her.
Transported in a bin liner
She put her dog in a bin liner so that he didn’t soil the upholstery of her car and dropped him off wordlessly outside the nearest animal shelter in the state of California.
This shelter belongs to the Frosted Faces Foundation organization.
The organization regularly posts the stories of its protégés on its Facebook account in order to draw attention to important issues and also to find new loving owners.
She also posted Blackie’s tragic story on social media and the woman became a hate object online.
Blackie, on the other hand, became part of the community of abandoned, sick animals at the shelter. The keeper Kelly in particular took care of her.
Surgery possible – new family wanted
Blackie finally received the care and attention she desperately needed.
Hugs and affection are also part of the program and you could literally see how Blackie blossomed again.
In the meantime, the vets from Frosted Faces Foundation have also looked at the adorable four-legged friend’s tumor and scheduled an operation.
They were confident that they would be able to remove the tumor completely so that she could soon lead a carefree life with the right family.
Until then, Blackie remained a part of Kelly’s foster cases, which she cared for with special devotion.
