The picture of a cute little puppy goes viral. The cute four-legged friend looks through the bars of his cage and has real tears in his eyes. Because no one wants to adopt him!
But then fate takes a turn.
„No-kill“ policy
The staff at theHigh Plateau Humane Society (HPHS)in California have made it their mission to protect all adopted cats and dogs in Modoc County from being euthanized.
Accordingly, the shelter has a „no kill“ policy. Animals surrendered to them are either adopted by them or surrendered to other „No Kill“ facilities.

But when HPHS employees in New Mexico come across this sad little dog, they want to expand their outreach and help him too. So they take a picture of him that goes viral.
… and makes him happy
Their efforts pay off. Nobody can resist the sad little darling who finally wants to find a new home. Numerous dog lovers responded to the post and virtually beat down the shelter’s door.
It didn’t take long for the animal shelter to find a new dog mom for the crying dog. There he is now living his best life and is finally a happy dog!
Many animals like this once so sad dog only have animal rescuers like those at HPHS to thank for giving them a chance at a good life!
