Let me introduce you to a four-month-old Chihuahua mix called Olly, who is as playful and intelligent as she is curious and dignified. Weighing in at a mere 4lbs, Olly is an adorable bundle of joy with a big personality. Despite her small size, she is brave, playful, smart, and never runs out of energy.
Did I mention she’s friendly too? Because oh boy, she sure is! Cat-friendly, dog-friendly, and even child-friendly, Olly loves to be surrounded by friends. And while she does hold a lot of energy, she is also a perfect couch potato, and loves nothing more than a good belly rub or a warm cuddle.
Overcoming Challenges and Rediscovering Trust

Now, this little girl didn’t have the easiest start to life. Olly’s mother was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas, while she was pregnant and searching for shelter, protection, and food. But ever since they were given a safe place in a foster home offered by a good-hearted woman, life for Olly and her family has taken a turn for the better.
Despite all she’s been through, Olly’s can be described as sensitive and shy at first. Meeting new people might startle her a bit, but with patience and a little time, she opens up to reveal the sweetheart that she truly is. Eager to please and oh-so loving, Olly is waiting for a special family of her own; a family that will guide her slowly with patience and teach her what it means to trust and be loved again.
However, adopting her should be viewed as an act of responsibility rather than just adding a pet into your home.
Olly’s Health and Home Requirements

In terms of health, Olly is well taken care of. She has all the shots she needs – DHPPI Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine – and has been spayed/neutered. In addition, she has also been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm.
The ideal home for this little darling would be one that understands the essence of rescuing a street animal and the commitment it requires. Patience and tolerance are key attributes her forever home should possess, and prior experience in dog behavior and training would be beneficial.
Unfortunately, she is not house trained yet as our big job focuses on rehabilitating rescued pets emotionally and mentally, attending to their health needs, feeding, keeping them safe and entertained. Thus, her new family should be patient in teaching her house manners.
