Around 700 million dogs live on the streets worldwide. They may be free, but they are exposed to countless dangers every day.
Illness and hunger are the order of the day. That’s why every stray rescued is a success.
It is even better when a puppy can be saved from a life on the streets, like the little dog in this video.
The dog is terrified

The brown mongrel appears to be just a few weeks old when he is spotted by animal rights activists.
He is terribly frightened and can barely walk, his tail is tucked so far between his hind legs.
This is an unmistakable sign of fear in any dog. This is how he signals submissiveness to his fellow dogs.
Nevertheless, the animal rights activists are able to follow him to his secret hiding place under a pile of wooden pallets.
Hunger triumphs over fear

The animal rights activist who approaches the hiding place knows the puppy is hungry. So she lures him with food, very gently and calmly.
And she actually succeeds in luring the little dog to her. He follows the food into her arms.
She takes him home with her and he gets to know other dogs and cats and the normal life of a dog in an apartment.
And soon the fear gives way to deep trust.
The sooner they are rescued, the better

It’s always great to see how quickly dogs can adapt to a new situation.
It was only through this adaptability that they were able to become man’s best friend.
It is much easier for puppies to get used to life in human care than it is for a stray who has been living on the street for many years.
The first contact is crucial

Fortunately, the puppy in the video was spared this fate thanks to an animal rights activist who lured the little creature so sensitively.
„This is the most gentle rescue operation I’ve ever seen“
confirms @melissanguyen6429.
This first contact did indeed play a major role in the young dog’s ability to adapt so quickly.
The video tells the story of this heartfelt rescue:
