It says: Don’t leave me alone, take care of me, I am innocent and very much in need of love.
Who could possibly oppose that? Nobody, and that’s how nature intended it.
Experts are convinced that selection pressure is responsible for the heart-warming gaze of our four-legged friends.
The more insistent this is, the more often and extensively people look after the animals.
Andrea Neira experienced this trick of nature at first hand.
Cute puppy in the shopping center
Neira worked in a store in the Real Plaza Centro Civico, a shopping center in Peru.
One day, something caught her eye: a dog had made itself comfortable on the cool sidewalk tiles near her store.
He obviously liked it there because he wasn’t bothered by the hustle and bustle. What’s more, she wasn’t the only one to notice the cute four-legged friend .
While the woman was watching him, two security officers approached the little dog, who was still a puppy .
The officers were presumably sent to take the animal outside or at least remove it from the sidewalk.
The cute furry friend was not to be deterred

The dog liked to lie on the cool tiles and didn’t want to make it too easy for the security guards.
„They tried to chase him away very gently and were extremely careful,“
says Neira.
It was a sight for the gods: the little dog simply rolled up with his belly and wanted to be cuddled.
Of course, this made it even harder for the officers to catch him.
For the dog, it was just a game and what else could the guards do but play along?
It didn’t take long before they were completely enchanted by the little four-legged friend.
Everyone was enchanted
„The security guards were very affectionate with the puppy,“
neira reported:
„They couldn’t stop stroking him and patting his tummy“.
Neira could have watched the spectacle forever and would have loved to stroke the cute furry friend herself. But she had to keep working.
She was a little envious of the guards, who were able to spend time with the dog and make it look like it was part of their job.
The puppy eventually fell to the floor and just stayed there. No one could get over themselves and get the little guy outside.
He had taken people’s hearts by storm.
