Bruno is a super sweet dog who had to endure unbelievable cruelty from others who thought his life was worthless.
He was just 1 year old when he was chained outside in all weathers.
Here he was the victim of an attack by another dog in which he lost an ear. Bruno could not escape – because he was chained up.

Bruno is a beautiful dog – missing ear or not. He is also a kind-hearted and loving furry friend.
He has never lost his positive nature – even though he had a really bad start to his life as a dog.
In fact, the animal welfare organization SPCA of Wake County calls him a big love bug who is always wagging his tail.
He is extremely friendly and simply loves everyone he meets.
He is particularly fond of a stuffed animal that was given to him when he was rescued – and which became his personal rescue.
Bruno formed a very close bond with the stuffed dog. His carers suspected that he needed something like an attachment dog.
Who needs two ears?
One day, they found out just how true this was. Bruno had simply bitten off one of his stuffed companion’s ears.
Was this a coincidence or a deliberate act to make him look even more like him? Bruno knows that there is nothing wrong with him.
But someone who looked just like him was obviously something that was important to him.
Bruno has found his forever home
Bruno has since been adopted by Levi Pinnix, who until recently served in the U.S. Army.
He feels so safe and secure here that nobody would have any idea what a terrible past Bruno had.
Always with him, of course, is the stuffed dog with one ear.
