Zira is a sugar-sweet puppy who loves nothing more than riding through the rows of supermarket shelves in a shopping cart.
But her passion for shopping almost spells doom for her and her mom!
The new Target mascot
Target is one of the largest retail chains in the USA. The discounter’s mascot is a dog: the white bull terrier Bullseye.
But Bullseye has got competition, and without any help from Target.
This competition is Zira, a four-month-old white female dog with an adorable black ring around her left eye.
Zira is simply the dog of a Target customer. What’s going on here?
The shopping experience
Zira is an extremely pretty mix of Australian Shepherd and Welsh Corgi. She has a characteristic that we actually know more from humans:
She loves shopping more than anything. When Zira is wheeled through the aisles of the discount store in a Target trolley, she looks like the happiest dog in the world.
She radiates this very special enthusiasm that is simply infectious.
The illegal influencer
This particular tendency of Zira’s would actually only be known to her owner and perhaps a few customers and employees at the local Target store.
However, her owner took extremely cute photos of the euphoric pelt-nose in the shopping cart and uploaded them to social media.
The photos immediately went viral and so Zira became an influencer for Target without intending to.
Strictly speaking, she is an illegal influencer, as only dogs whose owners are dependent on them – guide dogs, for example – are actually allowed in the Target store.
Zira’s owner was not aware of this and she later even apologized to Target.
However, it can be assumed that the discounter certainly has nothing against the four-legged visitor in this case.
Also enthusiastic about other stores
Zira’s mistress uploaded photos of the furry friend to PetSmart, an American chain for pet supplies.
Here we see the lovely dog no less enthusiastic. She simply loves being driven around stores, no matter which store it is.
Basically, she looks like a small child who simply enjoys the colorful surroundings and the sensory impressions without having to move her own legs.
