The sight of Milly is heartbreaking. Locked up in the cramped shelter kennel, she desperately hopes that someone will notice her and give her some love.
So every day she looks out with sad eyes and pushes her sweet nose through the bars.
Dog catchers dragged her to this place, where she is not much happier than on the street.
Milly wants to get out of there, she needs a loving home as soon as possible.
This is Milly
Milly is beautiful and has a very gentle face. Her sparkling eyes, which the animal welfare workers describe as unique, are also striking.
At around 40 to 45 centimetres high at the shoulder and weighing less than 15 kilograms, this sweet dog is medium-sized and delicately built.
She is still very young, estimated to be between one and two years old. She certainly didn’t have a good childhood.
Nevertheless, she does not resent people and has retained her kind-hearted, gentle nature.
She is still new to receiving attention from people, but she allows people to touch her without any problems and can already enjoy being stroked.
Milly is friendly to everyone, even if she is still a little shy.
Life at the shelter is hard on her, not only because of the cramped conditions, monotony and loneliness, but also because of the noise and the hustle and bustle.
The sensitive young dog prefers peace and quiet and a cosy get-together with the people she trusts.
The ideal home for Milly
Milly longs for love and security. She wants to feel safe, both in terms of her surroundings and in terms of the care and attention of her humans.
She wants to get used to life in the house in peace and discover new things at her own pace. She is looking for patience, understanding and loving support from her family.
She is also not yet familiar with the ABC of dogs, but with positive reinforcement, empathy and calmness she will certainly be happy to be taught.
Milly would also like things to be neither hectic nor noisy in and around her home.
She would like to develop her wonderful character, build up her self-confidence and be a loyal companion to her family for the rest of her life.
Will Milly soon be able to press her nose against you instead of through the kennel gate?
